Chapter 10:
Thursday December 25th 2014: 8:14 AM:
Christmas Day.
5 Months, 16 Weeks, 1 Day Pregnant.

Merry Christmas Veronica.

'Knock knock knock' “Daddy V! Wake up Daddy V! It's Christmas!” Henry hollered as he knocked on the door again. “C'mon Daddy V wake up!” He yelled knocking some more.

I yawned and sat up running my hand through my hair. “Alright Henry I'm up.” I called out to him.

“Santa's been here, he left us lots of presents. See you downstairs.” He said and then I grinned as I heard his little slippers clomp down the steps.

I was just standing up and stretching when there was another knock on the door. “Come in.” I said then gasped when I turned and saw Cameron standing there holding 2 boxes, one with a bow on it. “Hey.”

“Merry Christmas... I got you something, I hope you like it.” He said as he set the box on the bed.

As he did I heard a whimper from inside. I looked at him with confusion and then pulled off the bow and gasped as a little dalmatian puppy jumped out and began licking my face. “Oh my gosh... He's adorable!” I cried inbetween licks.

“I knew you'd like him. In the other box over there is a puppy starter kit as well as a puppy bed and a book on training and potty training... So what're you gonna name the little tyke?” Cameron asked as the puppy licked his hand.

“I was thinking of the name Harley.” I said as I kissed his head.

“Harley sounds neat... After the motorcycles?” Cameron asked curiously.

“Yeah. C'mere Harley.” I said whistling for him to come over to me.

He looked up from licking Cameron's hand and came over to me nudging into my belly and sniffing it. “Can he tell I'm pregnant?” I asked curiously.

“I'm sure he can... When I picked him up in the pet store he kept sniffing my belly too. So I am pretty sure he can sense Nick and Veronica inside us. Dogs are pretty intellengent animals.” Cameron answered.

“I wouldn't know... Never had a dog before. I've only had a guinea pig and he wasn't too bright.” I explained.

“You never had a dog?” Cameron asked baffled.

“Nope... Never had one.” I answered as I stroked Harley's ears.

“Wow... Anyway why not bring Harley downstairs for some puppy food. I got you a whole month's worth and I'd say he looks hungry.” Cameron said as Harley whimpered.

“Okay. C'mon boy.” I said as I got up and followed Cameron down to the kitchen.

“Woof woof!” He barked and hurried to follow me, slipping and sliding as he did.

“PUPPY?!” Henry cried as he turned and spotted us. “Is he a boy or a girl Daddy V?” He asked as Harley ran into his arms and began licking his cheeks.

“It's a boy... His name is Harley.” I answered.

“He's cute.” Henry said as he continued to pet his head.

While Henry opened his presents, he took the bows off every package and stuck them on Harley. By the time Henry had opened all of his presents Harley was covered in multicolored bows. Using the new camera I had got, I took tons of pictures of the two of them playing together.

It was then that I got a glimpse of the front yard. White powdery looking stuff covered the entire yard. It was on trees, the garage roof, the mailbox, and even our cars. “Heather what's with all the white stuff?” I asked as she handed me one of my presents.

“It's called snow... You've never had snow before?” She asked baffled.

“If I did... I don't really remember when.” I answered.

“Maybe you had snow when you were young and that's why you didn't remember, now enough jabber. It's present time.” She said and sat down to open her's.

Soon we had opened everything and while Henry played with his new toys, Heather, Cameron and I retreated to the kitchen and started breakfast.

“We still have to go over my Mom's so she can give Henry his presents. She also said she had some for you too Vaas.” Heather said as she sipped her coffee.

“Really?” I asked as I looked up from eating my omelette.

“Yeah. Wipe your chin you have cheese dripping down your lip.” She giggled.

“Sorry.” I said and wiped my chin.

Once breakfast was cleared up and Cameron had went home, I put Harley in his kennel and then we headed to Allison's.

“Merry Christmas Vaas.” Allison said as she gave me a hug, then hugged Heather and Henry.

“Merry Christmas Mom-Mom.” Henry said as he handed her the gift he had picked out for her at the store.

“Thank you sweetums. Your presents are over there.” She said pointing them out.

“Oh boy!” He squealed and hurried over to the tree.

“Your's are next to his pile darling, and Vaas your's are on the other side of the tree. As soon as you are done opening your's I wanna give you a check-up and check on Baby Veronica.” Allison said with a smile as she went to check on dinner.

Overall my list of presents are as followed:

A baby scrapbook kit with stickers, glue, scissors, etc.
A full set of colored permanate markers.
Several sets of yarn and needles.
A book on knitting.
A month by month baby book.
A brand new homecoming dress and bootie set for Veronica.
A baby pink camo diaper bag.
New seat and steering wheel covers.
A box of Christmas chocolates.
New package of socks and boxers.
A new robe and pajama set with slippers.
Harley and his puppy kit.
A baby monitoring set.
And a baby monogrammed towel set with shampoo, bodywash, and lotion.

It didn't even matter that most of my presents were mainly for you my baby girl, at least you'd be fully provided for.

“Okay ready for your check-up Vaas?” Allison asked as I opened the towel set.

I nodded. “Ready and waiting.” I answered eagerly.

“Okay come with me.” She said and headed down the hall.

I got up off the floor... Slowly I might add, and then followed her, Henry, and Heather down the hall.

Allison loaded up the machine and then gelled the transducer wand. “Okay lose the shirt, unzip the pants, and slide them down a little.” She instructed.

“Can do.” I said and did as I was told. I then laid down on the exam table and sighed as she placed the wand on my belly.

“Alrighty... Here she is, the little cutie, she now weighs 100-150 Grams or 3.5-5.3 Ounces. She is now 11-12 Centimeters or 5 Inches in height and is very healthy.” Allison said turning the screen to me so I could see you.

“Hello my baby girl... Daddy loves you so much.” I said as I blew you a kiss. “I am so nervous to meet her... What if I disappoint her?” I asked with a sigh.

“You won't disappoint her... Try not to be so negative.” Allison said with a smile.

“My precious baby girl.” I sniffled as I watched you twitch.

After the check-up was done, we had Christmas dinner and after I had ate my fill, we went home and I climbed into my bed full and happy.
