Chapter 9:

“Thanks again guys!” Wasabi said waving and closing the door after Hiro and Baymax had left with Aunt Cass. He then walked back to the living room and made his way over to the couch where Fred laid sleeping his hand laying protectively on his belly. “Babe?” Wasabi said shaking his shoulder.

“Hmm?” Fred mumbled opening his eyes slowly. “Where is everyone?” He asked looking around.

“They all left... Want me to help walk you up to bed?” He asked.

“Nah you can't carry me in your condition. I can walk. Besides I gotta pee again anyway.” Fred yawned getting to his feet and heading towards the downstairs bathroom.

Later after Fred went to the bathroom he and Wasabi took all the stuff up to the nursery and began putting it in the proper spots. While they work they began discussing baby names.

“Hmm... How about Wendy for this one?” Fred asked rubbing his belly.

“Nah... How about Wilma?” Wasabi suggested.

“What are we... The Flinstones?” Fred asked with a grin. “What about Winona?”

“No... I've got it... Willow?!” Wasabi suggested with a smile.

Fred's eyes welled with tears. “Willow?... It's beautiful.” He said splaying his hands on his belly. “Do you like that sweetie? Do you like the name Willow?” He asked her then smiled as she kicked his right hand. “I think we have a winner.” He said handing Wasabi a handful of baby washcloths.

“Cool now what shall we call this little one?” Wasabi asked rubbing his belly as their other daughter kicked his hand.

“Hmm... How about Fiana?” Fred suggested.

“Nah... What do you think about Flora?” Wasabi asked.

“Sounds too much like flower and flowers are objects, our baby is no object.” Fred declared. “What about Felicity?”

“That's too original.” Wasabi pointed out.

“I've got it!... Felicia! It's about the same amount of letters as Willow minus one.” Fred said.

“Felicia... I like it and the kick I just got from her must mean that she likes it too. I am getting hungry though so let's take a break and go get some food. We can go out or something.” Wasabi said as he shut the top drawer of the changing table.

“Where did you wanna go?” Fred asked as he closed the closet door and the top drawer of their dresser.

“Sue's Chinese Buffet.” Wasabi said licking his lips at the thought of all the delicious food they served. “Might wanna get a coat though it's pretty cold out tonight.” He added as he and Fred headed to their room.

“Hand me my red jacket that I got at the pregnancy clothes store.” Fred said as he sat down to put on his shoes.

“Okay.” Wasabi said grabbing it and handing it to him then grabbing his black jacket and tossing it on.

Soon they were seated and eating their first plate.

Fred picked up his glass of tea and raised it. “To Willow and Felicia... May their future be bright and full of opportunities.” He began.

“To our daughters.” Wasabi said raising his glass and clinking it with Fred's then taking a sip as did he. “You know... Even though I said this at Thanksgiving... I really am blessed that I have you and our daughters. You three mean the world to me and I will never ever forget that. I promise.” He said taking Fred's hand and kissing it.

Fred smiled as tears glistened in his eyes. “I'm just glad you're here for this... I would've fell apart months ago if you'd taken that job for your laser plasma thing and left.” He sniffled.

“I was going to before the night we slept together... But then when it was possible that you could be pregnant that's why I stayed. It was my fault you ended up that way and I shouldn't have tried to leave you.” Wasabi said as he scratched his neck.

“Ooooh!” Fred groaned suddenly setting his drink on the table and grabbing his belly.

“Fred what's wrong? Are you alright?” Wasabi asked with concern.

“I feel like I just had a contraction.” Fred said with worry. “I wanna go home.”

Wasabi nodded. “Excuse me ma'am?” He asked a passing waitress.

“Yes?” Asked the waitress.

“We'd like to get this to go please.” Wasabi said handing her his credit card.

“Okay... I'll be right back with your to-go cartons and your receipt.” She said and walked off.

Wasabi then pulled the keys out of his pocket and handed them over to Fred. “Go get the car warmed up and wait for me. I'll be there in a minute.” He said with worry.

Fred walked out ignoring all the looks and stares and made his way to the car. He opened the passenger side door, got in, shut it, and then slid the key into the ignition sighing as the warm air hit him. He was just drifting off to sleep when the driver door opened and closed.

“My poor baby.” Wasabi whispered as he ran his hand over Fred's cheek. He then put the car in drive and drove them home.

Once they were home he then picked Fred up in his arms and carried him up to bed.
